Once upon a time, long, long ago there were no colours and the earth was run by two humans. One was good and the other was evil. The good one was very strong, very good looking, and incredibly smart. He had dark hair and light eyes. He was called Somebody by those who thought names were important, for not everyone did.
The evil one was named Nobody. She lived in a dark, stony, deserted corner of the world. She was tall, powerful, dark and menacing. She always wore sunglasses to keep her world darker than it really was. She kept a locked wooden box which held all the colours in it.
She wanted to keep the world dark, plain and colourless because she was lonely and jelous of people who were happy. So she dealt with her problem by keeping people grumpy and miserable. Not very many people knew she was the reason for their grouchiness and those who did didn't understand that she was lonely.
Now it came to pass that Somebody discovered the secret of the hidden colours. Out of natural curiosity as to what a colour was, he went out in search of Nobody. Along the way he stopped and picked up a shiny stone that he had found.
He stayed for a couple of weeks among the mountain folks where he heard many stories. These folks blamed Nobody for absolutely everything that went wrong. They had stories of lost game, missing people, murdered children, and an odd box claimed to contain something no one had ever seen. These were the stories that interested Somebody the most. For they contained the whereabouts of Nobody's box.
When he left the mountain folks kingdom, he had a fairly accurate idea where the box of colours was located. After traveling some distance from the mountain, he decided to go for a long refreshing swim. On the way towards the stream, he stopped again to pick some beautiful moon flowers that had caught his eye.
He had been in the water for no more than fifteen minutes when ahead of him he saw the most beautiful woman he had ever seen standing on the bank. She was staring at him. She had shoulder length hair decorated in a tiara, and she was wearing sunglasses. It was then that he noticed the wooden box at her side. He realized that he was now face to face with Nobody, and the box of colours.
After he climbed out of the water and dried himself off, he tried to ask her to show him the colours. She refused and threatened to hurt him if he didn't leave her alone. This didn't phase him though, he self consciously handed her the flowers he had picked. Then asked her why she was being so selfish by keeping the colours locked away from the world.
She gave him an icy cold stare. He was so scared that he slowly started backing away. Suddenly though, she yelled to him not to leave. It was then that Somebody understood. Nobody was so afraid of being alone, but she didn't know how to ask people to be with her, because she'd been alone for so long.
The stone that he had picked up earlier was slowly pulsating. It seemed to be trying to rip a hole in his pocket. It was almost pulling Somebody towards Nobody. So he took it out of his pocket and let it lead him towards her. She was also holding out a pulsing stone! Each stone was trying frantically to reach out to the other.
Nobody looked at the stones, than back up at Somebody. At the same moment in time, they realized that they were holding location stones, ancient mystical stones that could guide you to your soulmate.
They stayed together for a little while, and then they realized that they were in love thus balancing good and evil forever.
And it came to pass that they were married. As his wedding gift, he gave her his location stone. Her extraordinary wedding gift was to slowly unlock the wooden box, undo a little bag, and open each of the seven little canisters contained within. Nobody sprinkled a little of each into her hand, took a deep breath, and blew what almost appeared to be sparkles. And now there's colour everywhere.
